KES CHemists Rise to the challenge
Many congratulations to our Year 13 Chemists, who between them achieved five gold, seven silver, and four copper awards in the Cambridge Chemistry Challenge last year and who recently received their certificates. They are also among the KES students in receipt of 13 Silver and 3 Bronze Chemistry Olympiad certificates.
The Chemistry Challenge involves a 90 minute written test and aims to take A Level students beyond the syllabus and encourage them to think about science in the way they would at university.
This summer, 38% of our Chemistry grades were awarded A* or 9 at both A Level and GCSE level.
