We are looking for an inspirational, experienced, classically trained Teacher required to teach singing to individual pupils aged from 7 to 18 in Classical, Popular, Jazz and Music Theatre styles of music, to join this growing and popular Music Department. This would range from beginner to diploma standard and prepare pupils for ABRSM, Trinity & LCM face-to-face and online examinations, concerts, masterclasses, assemblies and other performances in iconic buildings in Bath such as: The Forum, Bath Abbey, The Holburne Museum & Guildhall.

The successful candidate will initially teach around 10 hours per week from the start of term in September, but it is envisaged that the number of pupils will increase quite quickly, and there is the potential to support and coach elements of school Musicals/Drama performances and lead a vocal ensemble in the near future.

We wish to appoint a suitably qualified Assistant Sports Coach to join our dynamic, busy and welcoming Sports department.

Sport is thriving and plays a very important part in the life of the School. Whilst the role will be based predominantly at the Junior School, it will include coaching across Senior School and being a member of the whole school sports team.  

We are looking to appoint someone who is passionate about working with pupils in an environment which encourages “sports for all”. This ethos ensures that all our pupils are given the opportunity to take part in a broad range of sports and to develop to their maximum potential whilst ensuring high standards are met. Applicants must be suitably experienced and qualified full-time Sport Coach to support the further development of our major sports (rugby/cricket/hockey/netball) across the Junior and Senior Schools. Sport is thriving and plays a very important part in the life of the School.  Proven ability as a player or coach at a high level (in at least one sport) would be a distinct advantage, and appropriate involvement with Saturday fixtures is expected.  King Edward’s is a very successful school which achieves excellent sporting and academic results and was praised very highly in its last ISI inspection. 

A willingness to be involved in the pastoral and co-curricular life of this busy and vibrant School is envisaged, including accompanying trips.

We wish to appoint an enthusiastic Apprentice Horticulture Operative to join our friendly Estates and Facilities team.  This is an exciting time to be joining King Edward’s School and the successful candidate will have the opportunity to both learn the craft and make a significant impact on the School and its environment. 

King Edward’s School is a family of three schools; Pre-Prep, Junior and Senior Schools with the majority of gardening and grounds work being based at the Senior School site. The successful apprentice will be responsible for assisting the Grounds team in the efficient maintenance of the gardens and grounds, ensuring that all work undertaken is carried out to an exceptionally high standard within the agreed timeframes.

This varied and rewarding role will require energy, flexibility, enthusiasm for the wide-ranging tasks and the ability to work as part of the team. It is an exciting opportunity for an Apprentice Horticulture Operative who has a passion for the outdoors and is keen to take their first step into the world of Horticulture.  It would suit a person who has a professional, friendly and helpful manner, is a team player and has a ‘can do’ attitude, with an awareness of Health and Safety.  The successful candidate must have basic IT skills.

This fixed term role will be 37 hours a week to be worked across Monday to Friday for 52 weeks a year. You will attend Wiltshire College (Lackham Campus) on a Monday (term time only). King Edward’s School’s sports grounds and facilities are mainly based in Bathampton. The successful apprentice will be responsible for assisting the Grounds Team in the efficient maintenance of the grounds and playing surfaces, which involves the management of 17 acres of sports pitches and associated buildings, ensuring that all works undertaken are carried out to an exceptionally high standard within the agreed timeframes.

This varied and rewarding role will require energy, flexibility, enthusiasm for the wide-ranging tasks and the ability to work as part of the team. We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and responsible Minibus Driver to join our welcoming Estates and Facilities team.  This is an exciting time to be joining King Edward’s School and the successful candidate will have the opportunity to make a significant impact on the School and its community.

This rewarding role will require a polite and friendly manner and the ability to work independently and provide a safe and reliable driving service to the pupils of King Edward’s School. The successful candidate will have a full clean UK driving licence, including D1 Minibus entitlement and will have excellent time management and outstanding personal skills particularly with an ability to relate well to young people, parents, colleagues and external agencies.  Experience of driving passenger vehicles is highly desirable along with First Aid and MIDAS training.

The role will be 10 or 20 hours per week, Monday to Friday 7am to 9am and/or 3.30pm to 5.30pm.  The successful applicant may be permitted to keep the vehicle at their property overnight if they live within a sensible distance to the bus route, they are servicing.  A formal induction program is planned to provide training and support during the initial first term. You will be based at our North Road site, and we offer a competitive salary which will be enhanced by the School’s generous staff benefit package including holiday pay, free food and parking.  Training and a uniform will be provided.
