 KES Joins the wellbeing hub

"On World Mental Health Day, we are delighted to announce that we’ve invested in the The Wellbeing Hub. Supporting the mental health and wellbeing of our parents, Senior School pupils, and staff is a top priority for us here at KES and we are delighted to be able to draw on the resources that have been created by mental health and wellbeing experts to build on the existing support already in place for our pupils through our peer mentoring scheme, Health and Wellbeing Centre, counselling and listening service provided by Off The Record, Learning for Life programme and the pastoral structure helping pupils to navigate their way through school life and beyond.”
Mr Quayle – Deputy Head (Pastoral)

The Wellbeing Hub provides parents with access to podcasts, webinars, video courses, monthly live Q&As with child & adolescent psychotherapists, guest speaker events and parenting one-to-ones (paid service).

Pupils can also access to The Wellbeing Hub, grouped by their age ranges (10+, 13+ and 16+), with resources tailored specifically to support them with their mental health and wellbeing. The Wellbeing Hub for pupils includes a bank of answers, a range of resources - short films, blogs, and tip sheets on all manner of themes, careers advice and the Inspiring Futures podcasts series and a Help Zone with links to specialist organisations should they need extra support or advice and more.  Tutors use the resources during form time and can point pupils to particular resources based on individual need.

Alicia Drummond, adolescent psychotherapist and founder of The Wellbeing Hub, commented: “Schools do an extraordinary job of educating their pupils in the most challenging circumstances. We are thrilled to partner with KES as they take this proactive and holistic approach to support the mental health of their entire school community.”

This new partnership with The Wellbeing Hub is a further step we are making to ensure our pupils are equipped with the right tools and support to navigate their way through their time at school and beyond.”

I think this is an essential resource for children and parents alike, both of whom will benefit greatly from having well-described explanation to most of the seemingly insurmountable challenges faced by growing teenagers."
