Our Location
The Junior School enjoys superb, dedicated facilities in its own purpose-built and award-winning accommodation in an enviable location on the southern slopes of the city.
The beautiful setting is enhanced by the National Trust land that borders the School, and we are within easy walking distance of Bath’s World Heritage city centre.
The Junior School is situated on the same campus as the Senior School and benefits from its superb facilities, as well as a number of its wonderful teachers in specific subject areas. Each year, the vast majority of our pupils move up to the Senior School to continue their KES journey and to make the most of the amazing opportunities that await them there.

ADVENTURES IN LEARNING
We believe that learning should be exciting, challenging and fun. Every day at King Edward’s Junior School brings new adventures in learning and provides our children with opportunities to push their boundaries. Whether in the fast-paced lessons, the stimulating trips and visits or the broad and varied co-curricular activities, our pupils will find plenty to suit their unique interests whilst developing the confidence to take the plunge into the new and unfamiliar. |

Thriving and Flourishing
Pupils in the Junior School learn so much more in their time with us than simply what they are taught in their lessons; they learn to be curious, adventurous and self-reliant, to work successfully as individuals and as part of a team, and to develop skills for today which will also prepare them for the world tomorrow.

New Good Schools Guide Review of KES
Just before Christmas the Good Schools Guide (GSG), renowned for their fearlessly frank and unrivalled reviews of more than 1,400 state and independent schools, visited King Edward’s to undertake a new review of the School.
As well as praising King Edward’s ‘top level teaching’ and “great creative and extra-curricular opportunities’, the visiting reviewer found that KES is “proud to remain academically pacy but equally proud that it’s also an enriching and nurturing school in which pupils thrive.”
