The previous weekend, he broke the Welsh national 800m indoor record, held by Joe Thomas since 2012, setting a new time of 1:45.78 to finish first in the inaugural Keely Klassic, which also lifted his ranking to the current No1 position in Britain for 800m.

A sporting scholar at the University of Bath, where he is studying Biomedical Sciences, Justin joined the Transition Programme at Welsh Athletics in early 2024. He joined Team Bath aged 10, having discovered his passion for running when he competed in inter-school cross country races for the Junior School. In his final term at KES, he was 1500m silver medallist at the 2021 English Schools Athletics Championships.
